La Ferme du Bois Barbu, nestled in the stunning Vercors Regional Park, is undoubtedly a gorgeous destination for nature enthusiasts, boasting exceptional access to hiking trails and the tranquil beauty of the French countryside. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a lack of communication regarding our reservation, culminating in our late arrival to find the hotel unexpectedly closed. Despite this unfortunate oversight, I can speak to the allure of the hotel itself: the dining offering was poised to introduce us to regional cuisine crafted from fresh, local produce, promising delightful meals on their beautiful terrace overlooking a garden. It's refreshing to know that guests are equipped with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and the promise of a hearty continental breakfast that includes freshly baked croissants and homemade jams. While our family gathering was regrettably disrupted, the local hospitality was commendable as we found refuge in another nearby establishment. The surrounding area still beckons with its opportunities for cycling and hiking, ensuring there's always something for the adventurous spirit. I sincerely hope for better management in the future so that guests can truly enjoy the splendid offerings this charming locale has to provide.
